Butterfly no. 18: Brimstone

It's been a long time since I blipped a new butterfly - this painted lady in fact.
Today I was supposed to be doing a walk check, but after wrestling unsuccessfully with the instructions, I gave up and made up my own walk, enjoying the delights of Sprotbrough Flash, near Doncaster. The name makes it sound unappealing, but it was, in fact, delightful, and alive with butterflies and dragonflies. This Brimstone butterfly allowed me to get up very close with my macro. Even closer shots here and here
