Wish I was there

A public holiday in Bavaria and other German states with a majority of Roman Catholics. The states with the followers of Luther who nailed up his thoughts on a church door in Wittenberg 499 years ago yesterday, had their free day yesterday.

Daughter Kate and family are having a weeks half term break in the UK and after the Irish Sea crossing on Sunday and a day of Warwick Castle have now arrived at brother J's house in Worthing for the rest of the week. The parcel I sent them last week arrived safely. Mainly honey but also a few parcel fillers. Wish I could be with them.

Back home a lovely sunny warm day, ideal for a days trekking in the alps. We though had to get on with clearing up around the house. Mr & Mrs B had taken the "bridge´" day yesterday as holiday and have been in the hills south of here, just inside Austria, the "Tannheimer Tal". Got permission from MrB to post two of his photos as "Extras". He reported it was very cold at night but wonderful shirt sleeve weather during the day in the sunshine. Wish we had been there.
