I love the mersey tunnels, fantastic idea and very funky architecture to boot that really reflects the era in which they were built.

I blipped one of the vents for the Queensway Tunnel here. It was built in the early 1930s and is beautiful art deco design with Egyptian motifs.

This is one of the Kingsway tunnel Vents that was built late 1960s. I love the fact that its quite brutal concrete but looks like a space rocket. :)
