Eiffel Tower

Today was an extremely eventful day. We visited the Louvre at 10 o'clock this morning to skip the queues but the Japanese had the same idea as us so it was packed. Obviously we went and saw the 'Mona Lisa' but it was hard to get a view from all the other people in the way. I never knew it was that small but I do understand why they say that wherever you stand it always looks like she is looking at you. My guess as to why it is so famous is because we don't know what she is smiling at.
After that we walked to the Eiffel Tower to have an amazing lunch at the second tier restaurant which was incredible and the views where spectacular. Now I know why they call Paris the most beautiful city in the world.
After a filling lunch we took an open bus tour too the Grand Arc de Triumph to view the spectacular architecture of Mr Haussmann. We then took the metro to other attractions in the city to finally conclude the day with an amazing river boat tour of the city at night. Passing the Notre Dame and several other elegant buildings we finished the tour with the lighting up of the Eiffel Tower with a spectacular array of lights.
The weather was superb and I can't wait to travel onto Burgundy in the morning.
