Sudden Rain

We have emerged from the gray, drizzly days at the start of the week and returned to sunny mornings with intense afternoon rains that are more common this time of year. We were enjoying a glass of wine in the sunshine at the Plaza Grande watching the tour buses trying to navigate the car choked streets. In less than ten minutes, it went from sunshine to downpour. Everyone takes the changeable weather in stride. Some have umbrellas, like the lonely corn vendor shown here, while other huddle under the nearest overhand to wait out the storm and still others act as if nothing is different from earlier. We are more the huddle type, but at least this time we were able to huddle with a little vino tinto, which made the wait infinitely more bearable.
