Last night on Catalyst (a science program shown in Australia) there was a really good segment on the value of movement. The more you sit, the more chance you have of high blood sugar and all sorts of other deathly nasties. Regular exercise doesn't cut it - you actually have to get up and move at regular intervals - like every 20 to 30 minutes.

There is one particular person in our household who is notorious for sitting and getting other people to do his running around. Rower2012 watched this segment with some dismay, and today has actually been getting up from the computer (much to the amazement of Raj and me); normally it would take an major event to make him move away from the desk.

I just could not resist the humour of this blip. (Plus it's winter again outside, high winds, hail and rain).
