Butter wouldn't melt...

Riley enjoying a bit of time in the garden surveying Holly's valley.  He's been rolling about in the leaves and I see there is still one on his nose!

We are leaving him for short periods to see how he gets on as he does suffer from separation anxiety.  Yesterday we popped out for about 20' and all was well when we returned.  Then later in the afternoon we left him for about 45' and came back to find all was well - or so we thought!  We suddenly spotted the top of an Atora suet packet on the floor, and then saw the rest of the packet in his bed!  I'd left all the Christmas pudding ingredients out in the kitchen and he'd obviously smelt the suet and thought he'd have a snack while we were out!  We were very relieved to see that he hadn't actually opened the inner packet - phew!  It could have been worse but he is obviously just showing us that he doesn't like to be left.

We are taking him into the Dogs Trust this afternoon to meet his new "forever" family so yet again fingers are firmly crossed.  He'll come back with us probably until the weekend and then we'll hand him over to them.
