The Cloud That Hangs

... over us all tonight.

I feel more anxiety around this election in the US than any I've ever been involved with in my own country. Just watching the circus from the other side of the Atlantic has been disturbing enough, like a view into an absurd parallel universe. The possibility that we could be faced with that as our reality by the end of the night is likely to give me nightmares - so I think I will be staying up. I trustingly went to bed on the night of the EU Referendum vote, and look what happened while I was asleep!
