IKE

I've been watching the election coverage all day. Finally I retreated upstairs and pulled my political collection out. My husbands uncle worked as a White House policeman. So we inherited a lot of stuff from him. He kept every Christmas card he received during his years working there. This is a painting Dwight D. Eisenhower painted and used for his 1955 Christmas Card. The elephant is also a piece of Eisenhower political memorabilia. Sorting through the tubs of stuff was much more relaxing than watching the tube!
