Aspect ratios: NOT in-camera

This photo was cropped to a square format in PP, as it seemed to suit the subject. Square formats, in contrast to the more familiar rectangular type, generally benefit from central placement of the subject.

For G3 users I have dialled in a Flash Adjust value of -1.67, which has given this fill-in effect which is evident but not too obtrusive.

The subject is my son on the terrace of a restaurant in York as as we all enjoyed a meal there; the venue is appropriate as his place at the University of York was confirmed after England, Wales & Northern Ireland A-level exam results were released today.
