A double-yolker

is meant to be a good omen. This one was very welcome after a night of gloom marvelling at the excellent county-by-county analysis of the unfolding and unwelcome result of the US election on CNN.

My response to Wisconsin was to go back to bed and then later have a fry-up brunch and a pot of tea. My dear late mother-in-law always said the problem with Americans is that they don't drink enough tea. Perhaps I should send a packet of Darjeeling to the President Elect. Our tea-drinking US relatives did not vote for him. None of the pollsters and analysts seemed to consider the impact of a nice pot of tea, or lack of one.
