Ryton

After a long 4 hours up from London in an un-air-conditioned train to Newcastle, sat next to a very very large (in every sense of the word) family from Aberdeen who continued to threaten their children with slaps, I arrived at Marek's house next to the river Tyne. Amazing views, and the attic room gave me good views across the Tyne valley.

Went on a bike ride around the villages while Marek played some tennis, across some impressive viaducts that form part of the coast to coast bike route from Newcastle to Carlisle. I'd love to cycle it some day!
