A visit to Dunblane

People may know the Stirlingshire town of Dunblane for any of three things:

   ~   its magnificent medieval cathedral,

~   the 1996 massacre of 16 five-year-olds and their teacher, and

~   home town of Andy Murray, World No.1 tennis player.

Today I took friend Alison for a belated birthday lunch to the Old Churches House, right opposite the cathedral. Because we were so close to it, I couldn't get a decent blip of the huge building, so this will have to suffice.

On the way home I stopped on the Carse to blip the snow-covered mountains in the distance - see extra.

We couldn't have been luckier with the weather. Look at that beautiful blue sky!
