Knotty Problem

But at least we have some movement :-)

Amy managed to get out of bed .... at 6am, before going to sleep.  Funny sort of night, I slept a little, dozed a lot, breakfasted after lunchtime.  Life is somewhat surreal.

Untangling the stress factors that seem to be driving Amy's pain is not going to be easy.  Even before we return home where some of the stress originates, we have well meaning staff here encouraging Amy and explaining to Amy, talking, talking, talking ..... all adding to the stress, especially when they talk of going home.  A vicious circle.

Despite the conflicts above, the staff are all well meaning and excellent in their way but one person shone out today, Jade, the play specialist.  She came in like a ray of sunshine, brightening Amy's day with talk of 'what shall we do together' and 'shall we go outside for a bit.'  They played cards with Jacinta in the games room and went for a push round the hospital.  Mega!  No stress, fun company and an immediately improved outlook. Hoping for more of the same tomorrow.

A marathon of card games for Amy and I this evening.  She's still got her shoes on ..... don't think we'll be going out in the cold again tonight though!

Going home?  We wait and hope.

Extra : Ruth had a good afternoon with her personal tutor's help :-)
