New Parish Conference

Was very good - highlights included a great talk on the Samaritan woman by Kate Coleman (feminism and racial equality along with a lot more!), insightful political comments from Lord Glasman (a Jewish pro Brexit Labour Peer who despite this really talks sense, and an inspiring talk from Shane Claiborne.

Funniest anecdote - Lord Glasman was invited to the Vatican to meet the Pope - he read an email from a Bishop inviting him to this at 1am and went to forward it to a friend who's an MP- saying "f me I've been invited to the Vatican" - he only realised the next day when he had a reply from the bishop that he'd clicked on reply instead of forward! The bishop replied - "i'll take that as a yes then?"
