The Frost Moon

It's only a few minutes into Friday but the sky is nice and clear and this Moon is the largest and brightest since 1948  -  so out I went and braved the cold to capture it.  It's actually not a Full Supermoon until Monday but who knows what the sky will be like then!  American Indians also call it the Beaver Moon because it signals the time to set Beaver traps before the rivers freeze over so they can get Beaver furs for trading. You can read all about it HERE!  I do hope the sky is clear here on Monday because I will never see the Full Moon so large and close to Earth ever again  -  according to NASA it won't come so close again until 25 November 2034!
