Hobbs's Run

Another Look at the SKX007

Thought I'd inflict post another quick view of my new diver. The black ring around the dial is a "120 click" monodirectional bezel designed to accurately indicate the amount of remaining available compressed air time on a dive. It is also pretty useful for more pedestrian purposes such as pizza pick up times or appointment keeping. Those big splashes of white on the hour indices and hands are made of a substance called "lumibrite" which glows brightly in dark conditions. Quite apart from those swimming the depths, older people with less flexible eyesight find that when using a watch such as this, readily telling the time is just that bit easier than when using a conventional design.

I also checked out ISO (i.e. International Standards Organizarion) rule 6425 which sets out the torture testing that this actual watch went through before it could be sold bearing the label "diver's 200m"
