People on a Bridge

Dance me to the end of love

I've loved Leonard Cohen's music for as long as I can remember; he was incredibly popular in Poland as I was growing up. Once I mastered English, I marveled at his command of the language. He effortlessly bent words to his will, using the fewest and simplest possible to pack the greatest punch.

Under any other circumstances, I would be humming "take this waltz" in his honor.

This week, I am humming this one instead.

Dead roses came from a lovely coworker. They were alive when she gave them to me, but I was so distracted this week I failed to put them in water.
