Sunday in SW London

Although we missed the Stratford remembrance service we discovered there was to be the laying of poppy wreaths in Strawberry Hill. So we walked to the park and watched the proceedings.

We then met up with Emma and went to the local manor, Strawberry Hill House.  Although the house was closed for the season they were holding a Christmas Fayre so it gave us the opportunity to look round the Gothic house, built in the 1700s, and have a coffee in their cafe. We bought some Christmas decorations and a very nice smoked cheddar cheese.

We then took the train to Richmond for a spot of lunch and Ann and Emma went off for some retail therapy whilst Tom and I took a walk by the river.

Rendezvous was at Nero for a cup of tea before heading back to Emma's for a spot of O2 tennis and a takeaway curry for tea.
