Learning day by day

Tennis boy

Today was all about Will's first tennis competition. It was the club championship and he was invited to play in the U8 category. This meant some of his opponents were in yr3 & possibly yr4 and there was a huge difference in stature. He won his first match and then despite losing the other four matches he held his own. His worst score was losing 10-6, so I think he can be proud of himself. It certainly hasn't put him off and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The medal was the icing on the cake, even though they all got one.

Carys came to support, I can't say watch as she sat with her nose in a book the whole time. We didn't get finished in time to get down to Hatfield for the James Mayhew concert. I am gutted about missing it, the kids were more stoically about it.

So ends another weekend and now we are careering towards Winter Wonderland next Saturday, a swimming party, an audition and some Mummy and girl time. Just got a week to get through first!
