Wild Gold

It has been a long and stressful day for many in Marlborough and North Canterbury after a terrifying 7.5 Earthquake woke us at 12.02 am this morning. Luckily Keith and I came off lightly with no perceptible structural damage and only a few broken ornaments. The three cats took off and only two have returned so far. I took Maisie for a walk this afternoon and photographed these wild yellow Gazanias on the top or the structure of the Taylor Dam. A cheerful sight on a bleak day.
