A Special Afternoon Tea

Dear friend B. was finally able to enjoy her birthday present, which was afternoon tea at Morston Hall, (which of course, M and I were only too happy to enjoy too!).  B's birthday was at the beginning of 2016, so the present was a long time coming to fruition as it was also a celebration of B. finally moving to Norfolk after what seemed a lengthy house move process.
Of course, it would have been lovely to have posted a blip of the many delicious and dainty sandwiches we enjoyed, not to mention, the home-made scones, with strawberry jam and clotted cream, or even the selection of delicate and tasty cakes...and the apple pudding and vanilla ice cream...but we were all hungry when we arrived and had eaten the lot, chatted over pots of tea (of which there were many varieties to choose from) and left before we realised that both B. and I had intended to take a photo of the tiered cake stand while it was still laden with goodies!
So, I'm afraid you'll have to take our word for it that it was a most enjoyable and civilised way to while away a few hours.  As you can see I purchased a pot of Galton Blackiston's marmalade on the way out and that has had to suffice for my blip.
