Day 320 De-Icing before leaving Helsinki

Who knew there were machines whose sole purpose was to de-ice airplane wings before take off? Living with snow is so much more complicated than I thought.

I'm struggling to cope with coming in from the cold outside to a warm indoors. Hats, gloves, scarves, coats are all flying off in all directions as I try to handle over heating. Then you go out and it takes me about 10 minutes to suit up again. What a palaver.

I'm having so much fun. Tomorrow we are riding snow mobiles during the day, before setting off to see the elusive aurora in the evening.
