Temporary pond

Farm raising of tilapia is a large and still growing industry in parts of Mexico. A two day conference was held in the Plaza de la Danza, which is right around the corner from where we live. Two large churches face each other on each end of the plaza, and one of them also has a beautiful courtyard which often houses art shows and other public events.
A company whose business is producing plastic tanks that are used for raising tilapia lined a sunken part of the courtyard with their plastic and people could see the fish swimming around. The fish looks a lot like a bass and one variety is orange like goldfish.
Surrounding the pond were paintings of fish done by children, lithographs, and photographs of fish farms. Of course there was a band, food, and other vendors! Fun, interesting, and educational for all.
The extra is of children's artwork.
