Martyrs

This is the Martyrs memorial in the grounds of St John's Church in Stratford. It's a 6 sided structure built in 1879 to commemorate 23 protestants who were burned alive in 1556 for their religious values. Queen Mary Tudor was to blame. The church and memorial are now situated between a bus lane and a ring road - wonder what she would think of that?

Only 2 hours to get to Stratford this morning! 1 hour to get home which was more acceptable! 4 meetings in between were not much fun either.

Hope you've had a great day
