U-Bahn München: 79/100 Quiddestraße

Munich Underground: 79/100 Quiddestraße

Entry #79 in my strictly alphabetical Munich underground series. Quiddestraße underground station was opened in October 1980 and shares almost all design elements with the other stations opened in that year, like Michaelibad (Quiddestraße's northern neighbour), Josephsplatz, or Hohenzollernplatz.

What is somehow special is the steepless exit from the mezzanine on the south side of the station, where stairs are substituted by large ramps.

The pictured north entrance is also on the distinctive side: usually you validate your ticket on the mezzanine; with no mezzanine present here you do it right on the platform.

All in all, this is a quite dull station.
