Ruddy Turnstone

Who can resist a Turnstone on a pebble? This Turnstone was determined to be just a few millimetres higher than his mates and if you study these gorgeous little feisty birds, they cannot resist the chance to be 'king of the castle' even if the pebbles around are not giving them much elevation! They also make adorable noises, unless they really are squabbling and then they are very noisy indeed and almost parrot like. A very pretty little shoreline bird and there are plenty of them in Oman at the moment.
