Seeing red.....

... sometimes you don't get the photo you expected.

I set out to take silhouettes in the low winter sunshine and was experimenting with the monochrome settings on my camera. So what I saw in the viewfinder was a black and white image. I always shoot both in RAW and JPEG. So the RAW file retains all the colour, whilst the JPEG, in this case, was monochrome.

The blip has not been colour-popped; though I hadn't seen the colour in the viewfinder; that bag really was the only colour in the photo, except for the sunlit tone on the pavement.

I still like the photo I thought I had taken (see the extra) but prefer the impact of that splash of red
