Passion Flower - Alien Plant?

Our Passion Flower is in full bloom. Somehow the odd weather we have had seems to have made it want to flower even more. The plant is covered in them.

I love these flowers as they just look so alien. You could quite easily see them coming from a different plant or being the ship that brings the Predator to earth ;-)
