RAF Holbeach

An area for jet fighters to practise their gunnery at this isolated place by The Wash. The targets are just visible on the horizon to the right of the tower. This is not an ordinary base - no hangars or runways, the aircraft come from other bases around East Anglia or further afield. There is a helipad to the left of the tower.

The vehicles suggest some activity is expected and other military personnel were close by. But apart from one jet wheeling high in the sky nothing, no cannon practise or dramatics for me to see and photograph.
