Wesley's Tree

It's said that John Wesley (1703 - 1791) stood and preached beneath an Elm Tree which stood on this site in Stony Stratford. The tree suffered with Dutch Elm Disease and was replaced with this Oak in 2007. A beautiful little market town in Buckinghamshire, Stony Stratford is well worth a visit.
