Today was Son2's maiden drive to college and back and, I'm pleased to say, it went very well. It was very strange seeing him drive off in convoy with his brother this morning, though.

Meanwhile the new fridge/freezer arrived this afternoon. Although it's the same size it feels bigger so maybe it has more depth or just a better design. Pictured are before and after shots of the new one (unfortunately not lined-up properly). I used our local firm and they provided an excellent service which included putting the fridge door back on (it fell off a few months ago) and screwing the dishwasher back into place (it became detached a few weeks ago) in return for a cup of tea.
