Abstract Thursday

Trying to obtain the painterly qualities and strong unnatural colors of Fauvism, I found myself going down many processing-software rabbit trails, including Lightroom, Topaz Impressions and Simplify, Photoshop, and Macphun FX Photostudio.  I had 6 different versions and have no idea how I actually got this one or whether I have been successful.  I admit that while I am familiar with Matisse and Derain, and the Impressionist artists who inspired this movement, I haven’t a clue as to whether this actually fits the bill.  Oh well, it was all a bit of fun and that’s what Abstract Thursday is all about, isn’t it?  Perhaps there was a reason the Fauvist movement was very short-lived.
