Desert Squirrel

I do find it annoying that I can't do italics in the title.  I should put the species name in the main text box, I suppose, but then I have to think up a different title. Oh, well.....

I purposely left some grit and dust on the top of this stone plant because in the wild they often become almost entirely covered by grit and sand.  Their roots are able to pull the plant down into the soil so the top surfaces become partly buried and protected from the harsh sunlight.  I haven't had this plant very long, but it has divided for me, and also flowered, as you can see from the remains between the two heads.
