Found some!

Stinging semi-frozen needles hit us on the way up; it was cold to the thigh bones.  Before we'd set off, I'd questioned whether my two thermal layers were too much.  They certainly weren't!

It wasn't long before we were in the snow but it wasn't until the reservoir that the beating stopped.  Little Dog had a whale of a time off the lead with only the one sheep to keep an eye out for.  Spotting a single track of hoofprints halfway down, she went back on the lead but we both had plenty of time to frolic around in the snow.

I gave my irritable leg another hot bath when we got home but my glacial fingers weren't half pleased as well.
