Coastal Exploration

As it was a gorgeous sunny morning I decided after my morning coffee to explore in a bit more detail the piece of the coastline to the north of Cockburnspath. which is actually over the border and into Berwickshire and the borders. I have travelled that way when visiting St. Abbs but never stopped to take in the views of this coastal strip. This view is looking backwards ( ie. westwards ) as you climb up to Penmanship Moor with Old Cambus Mains Farm in the foreground and Torness Nuclear Plant in the distance. Hidden away under the cliff is the lovely sandstone Pease Bay marred only by the large static caravan site there. There is also a Scottish Wildlife nature reserve called Pease Dean in the ravine that leads down to to Pease Bay which I intend to explore on foot at a later date. It was not a great day for photography as there shadow areas were just so dark making any images very contrasty.
