Autumn's Arrived in the Alentejo

One thing is for sure about the Alentejo - it is beautiful.

Went to Montemor to shop, but took a picnic for lunch and sat on the castle wall, munching our sandwiches and cashews from Brazil, with folk looking quizzically at us - why weren't we sitting at the picnic tables with a tablecloth, like any civilised person would do?

So many photos of the castle against a dramatic sky, and wonderful frescos of musical angels on walls of a church I'd not been into before, but in the end, loved this the best, looking down onto the town.
