Roses

Spent some of the afternoon pruning the sadly neglected climbing roses on the front of Holly Cottage. Contemplative and rewarding. Unfortunately wielding secateurs at this time of year results in floral casualties. The blooms of climber Madame Alfred Carriere are white with blushes of pink and sweetly perfumed.
