A railroad bridge

In 1925 started the construction of the line million. A railway line receivers for coal transportation. The construction cost 1 million guilders per kilometer. Therefore, the name million line.
The bridge over the Dr. Calsstraat was completed in 1930. Was destroyed in 1944 by the Germans in World War II and later restored to transport the coal that was so needed for the rebuild of the country. In 1949 the railway line was opened to passenger traffic.
