Sew sew

Unperturbed by having to sew the hems on over 100 napkins for my brother-in-law's wedding, I've decided to take up a new sewing project. I'm using a pair of vintage curtains to make a skirt!

Given that this is my first foray into dressmaking and tailoring, I think it might be a bit ambitious. So far, it seems to be going well, but I have to work out how to hide the zipper next! Could be tricky...

My husband informs me that his family will find it very odd when I wear the skirt, since they grew up with the curtains.
