Old crofthouse

One I've used before but I regularly drive past it and today the low sun was highlighting its whiteness.
There was some wind today but the sun still shone and it didn't feel like late November.
In the post a book arrived without any obvious identification. We think we know who it is form but are not 100%. It is a book first printed in 1924 although still being printed in the 60's about training Spaniels. It refers to - and to be fair to the author disagrees with - an old saying "A spaniel, a woman and a walnut tree, the more you thrash them the better they be." Not sure how politically correct that saying would be considered nowadays!
