Gone burger

It was once a beautiful head of a yukka but it's done its dash.  Lucky for me, the plant itself is OK and has sprouted a couple of new spikes near the base.  Not sure why the top keeled over - was it because the cats used it as a scracthing post or maybe it was kept outdoors all year so was subject to some challenging frosts.  Will have to encourage the new life......
