Sunday lunch

This honey bee and hover fly were fighting over this flower (well, weed). I got several shots of them together but couldn't manage one of them actually in combat. The bee won in the end with a determined onslaught on the hoverfly, who gave up and went elsewhere. Had two alternative blips, one of two bees on the dahlia (not as clear as I would like) and another of a spider wrapping up a fly for lunch (nice shot but a bit gory), however I decided that this was the best one. Hope everyone is managing to stay cool in the hot weather.
