Ein violetter Rötelritterling
But you may know it as a Wood Blewit. Or Lepista nuda if you would like the Latin.
Because the German word ends with a -ling, you know that it is "der violette Rötelritterling".
A long day after a very long and uncomfortable night. I was playing with Munni at 1:15 this morning because she howled and howled. I hadn't been asleep, I was just having one of those nights where sleep stayed at arm's length. I really thought I'd have no chance of getting up when the alarm went off, but I did and got to work too. Current Status = shattered.
The light this afternoon was fabulous and soft - not what I'm used to in late November - I thought this fitted well as an image of late autumn. And it is edible.
Thanks to everyone who visited my Blip yesterday. Much appreciated.
