Wattling By The River

After coffee and mince pie in the north of town we decided on a walk up the Water of Leith path. We walked as far as Stockbridge and, after a tour of the charity shops, bussed back to the car to drive home past Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags.
Frost, birds, and glowing sunset picture opportunities abounded but these volunteers making a wattle fence from hazel branches (and, further back, another scraping slippery dead leaves from the path) deserve to be blipped purely for their dedication to the wellbeing of the area and the public.
