Spring Hall

Spring Hall is a mansion just off Huddersfield Road, Halifax.
It was built in 1871 by Tom Holdsworth - the 3rd son of a local wealthy textile manufacturer. After his sudden death in 1881 the building passed through many hands.  It was a hospital during both World Wars and was gifted to Halifax Corporation in 1948.
Over the years the building was neglected and fell into disrepair but was renovated in 2009 and Halifax Register Office moved in and the upper floors were rented out as office space.
Surprisingly it is not a listed building, which I find strange.
