Pumpkin

I was gifted a pumpkin. Had I bought one I'd have been able to bin it should I chose but as this was a gift I am obliged to cook it. I've roasted half of it with garlic and the other half is becoming pumpkin and chilli soup. I've even cooked the seeds; all that's left is the oink. Of course I'll probably freeze most of the soup and then throw it away in a few months time but I've honoured the gift by making the effort. 

I also had a chat with Angie and George so all up it's a good day.
