Things that go bump in the night

We were woken at 4.30am by a loud crash below us - on investigation one of the beams in the living room had decided it preferred the floor to the ceiling - thankfully it's decorational rather than structural and that no one was underneath it at the time (it also managed to miss smashing the lights, table or PC and desk), a little hard to go back to sleep with more beams directly overhead.

More frost & more essay writing, had to completely rewrite where I was going as I don't think it was right.
