The sea was calling.....

.....in a quiet kind of way, no roar or crash just simply lapping the shoreline similar to being beside a large lake. The wind however was gusting sending sand skimming along the beach, long grasses bending over themselves and yellow lupins dancing in the light. A desolate beach was a graveyard of driftwood, a little eerie in the golden light. The sky was amazing, dramatic to the Northwest depicting the direction of the wind and calm to the south, colours ranging from soft pink through to rich orange with the start of a rainbow which always makes one smile. It was invigorating being by the sea, watching, listening and filling my lungs with salty air. Well worth an early rise to capture the sunrise at 5.44am and yet home by 7am for some toast and a much needed cuppa, blip was in the bag nice and early followed by a bright, sunny, windy day.

Do check out the extras, amazing weather patterns - how does one choose?

Happy weekend everyone :)
