Open Studios

David was on a 'Writing children's stories workshop' in The Highland Museum of Childhood in Strathpeffer by author Alan Durant who has written books from 'Burger boy' to 'Football Factor' books as well as stories for teens.
We had a great breakfast in the Railway cafe and then went to look at the art work on display in the Pavilion. Some wonderful pieces of work and we were tempted by some but we have nt really got any room any more.
We then went to Cromarty to the craft fair and open studios. Again some great pieces of work, so many talented artist on the Black Isle. 
We also saw at least 200 waxwings in Rosemarkie, yes, 200 filling the trees !
